VIEWING
The range of aircraft to be seen at Kemble Airport is probably unique in the UK. We have microlights and jumbo jets; we have helicopters and Hunters.

Two places are best for viewing:-

A429 lay-by. Right at the threshold of our runway 26 and usually with a refreshment caravan in attendance, this is the perfect place for a quick and convenient stop - with the added advantage of having the sun behind you. Note that this is not the best location when runway 08 is in use!

AV8 Bistro & Restaurant. To really get among the aircraft and soak up the atmosphere of Kemble Airport, visit AV8. Here, you can watch the flying and enjoy a drink, a snack, or a full meal. Access off the A433. Click here for more details.

Under the terms of the Civil Aviation Act (1996), we regret that access airside - including all hangars - is not permitted to unauthorised persons. We hope that the listings of resident aircraft on this website are of help if a hangar is open and you can see in.

VISITING
Organised visits to Kemble are possible - just email your request to kemble.airday@virgin.net Visits are hosted by members of Cirencester Air Group. Weekends are preferred. Please note that hangars are rented privately; if they are not open at the time of your visit, access will not be possible. Photography is permitted, though individual BAe 146s and occasionally other aircraft may be excluded. If the Bristol Aero Collection is open, normal admission charges will apply.
