Since the end of World War Two, aircraft being stored and/or scrapped have been a familiar part of the Kemble skyline. The tradition continues; Kemble's long runway and ample space making it ideal for the dismantling of large aircraft. Whilst some aircraft remain for a considerable time, others disappear in just a few weeks.
