Remembering Captain Hawkens



Captain David A. Hawkens was killed aged 35 at RAF Fairford, England
29th August 1995

Departing England for a nationally tasked over Europe mission Hawkens crashed minutes after take off after suffering an airframe malfunction which was never recovered from.
 


Captain Hawkens is now buried along side his mother at Arlington National Cemetery in his home state of Virginia.
 



 

The other members of the Dragon family who have also been killed in the course of duty
should be remembered as well, including Major Duane Dively who was killed most
recently in June 2005.
